My name is Sidney “Nathan” Blocker and I am currently a Graduate Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with the International Student and Scholar Services department. I am a Birthright Israel Fellow and leader of Taglit Birthright Israel trips in my free time. I am the former Israel Engagement Fellow with The Oregon Hillel Foundation having served the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. I am a former Peace Corps Volunteer doing Community Economic Development in Ukraine as a Business/NGO Advisor.

I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a double major in Political Science and International Studies (Globalization Concentration) and a Minor in Middle Eastern Islamic Studies. I am currently continuing my studies in Public Policy and Management with SOAS, University of London and I am also pursuing a Master’s in National and International Security at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

I am an avid snowboarder, world traveler, Manchester United supporter, admirer of good quotes, cooking adventurer, edm lover, cruise enthusiast, amateur photographer, former nightclub bartender and bar owner. My yellow lab Maverick, a rescue, is named from my favorite movie (Top Gun) and is my shadow.
